Listen to the internet radio of TFM live, which embarked on its broadcasting journey in 1975 as a local station serving Teesside and its neighboring regions - County Durham and North Yorkshire. In 2013, TFM merged with Metro Radio, aligning their programming to jointly serve North East England. The station is owned by Bauer Radio Ltd., and member of the Planet Radio station fleet and part of Bauer's Hits Radio Network. TFM Radio's schedule is a blend of locally produced and networked programming. The networked content originates from the Hits Radio Network headquarters in Manchester. One such program is The Hits UK Chart, hosted by Sam Thompson. This proprietary chart show presents the top 40 hottest songs and airs on Sundays from 4pm to 7pm. Local programming delivers regionally pertinent news, travel-traffic updates, and weather information for the North East. Additionally, daily routine programmes featuring presenters and popular music from the last 15 years are a staple. The station commences its mornings with the multi-award-winning Steve & Karen’s Breakfast Show, hosted by Steve Furnell and Karen Wight, a duo with over 20 years of experience. This show airs on weekdays from 6am to 10am.
